C93 LONDON SING ALEPH UPON THAT HILL LONDON 22 FEBRUARY 2019 O2
SHEPHERD’S BUSH EMPIRE

I and We Am and Are OVERMOON to announce CURRENT 93 will and shall appear
with these our Dear Perfect Friends, in that City, upon that Hill:

SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE http://www.sixorgans.com
KRAR COLLECTIVE http://krarcollective.com
OLCAY BAYIR http://olcaybayir.com

I am sure everyone reading this knows already of Ben Chasny and his
amazing SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE http://www.sixorgans.com. I have been
a fan of his work since before I was born, We have worked together
many times over the years and it is a great honour and delight for all
of us to have Ben and 6O with us again.

KRAR COLLECTIVE http://krarcollective.com are an extraordinary
Ethiopian ThreePieceBand based in London, with Temesgen Zeleke on the
Krar Harp, Kebero drums played by Grum Begashaw, and the wonderfully
ecstatic vocals of Genet Assefa. I have long been a huge admirer, and
lover, of Ethiopian music, which has been, and continues to be, a
great inspiration and delight to me. Krar Collective are utterly one
of my utterly favourite groups!

OLCAY BAYIR http://olcaybayir.com is a singer of Turkish-Kurdish
origin, who draws both on her re-interpretation of the songs and
sounds of Anatolia, Mesopotamia, and the Mediterranean, along with
performing her own compositions. The first time I heard her work, I
was deeply mesmerised and deeply moved. Her music, like her voice, is
as Haunted as the Air.
