This week What’s on London were invited to a VIP Screening of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone at the place where Hogwarts was brought to life. Warner Bros Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter in Leavesden, Watford are this summer hosting Summer Screenings where visitors are able to explore sets including Dumbledore’s Office, the Great Hall, Gryffindor Common Room and the Dormitories before sitting down to enjoy one of the eight blockbuster films.

On our visit, we were taken through to the Great Hall where food including Sausage and Mash, Chicken Caesar Salad, Risotto and Fish and Chips were served to guests including Jonathan Ross, Jamelia, James Buckley, Idris Elba and Professor Flitwick himself, Warwick Davis. This was by no means my first visit to the tour (in fact it was my tenth), and I have always found staff members to be extremely attentive and friendly should I ever need to ask them a question. The food was fantastic and guests were given the opportunity to take photos, explore the Great Hall set for themselves and even got to taste the infamous Butterbeer! Following our trip to the Great Hall, we were escorted through to the screening room where we were offered popcorn, sweets, drinks and ice cream before settling down to enjoy Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone.

Jamelia loved choosing her house scarf, stating that it had to be Slytherin!

Being such a huge Harry Potter fan, going to the tour is always an enjoyable experience for me and I’m thrilled that the Studio Tour are now offering fans the chance to watch the films in very same building in which they were created and in fact, I’m even booked into see one of the Summer Screenings myself! Tickets must be pre-booked via www.wbstudiotour.co.uk and are priced at £45 per adult and £37.50. The packaged includes a ticket to the Studio Tour, a Butterbeer, film ticket, snack, popcorn or sweets and a soft drink.
